How you can prepare for Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday is this week, followed by Cyber Monday. What does this mean to you? It means it’s a great time to drive up sales and end the year on a great big money note of growth and revenue. For many, this can be the biggest season of their business year. Don’t let this promotional weekend slip by without moving forward geared up to add more clients and end your quarter in an impressive way.

Here are 3 ways you can make this weekend a great success for your brand and business:

  1. Start preparing: It’s Wednesday and there is still time to prepare. Don’t put it off until next year, get it done now. Block out 2-4 hours of creative time, marketing creation and schedule the way you will implement it all. You have to prepare for this time. Be intentional, purposeful and enthusiastic of utilizing this season to benefit your business. Prepare, prepare and prepare! It’s not too late.

  2. What will make your potential and existing clients happy: Think about how you can serve them more, greater and with added value. What are their favorite services that your company provides? What are the special details they love best? When do they seem to light up most when they are using your business services or products? Create a campaign that will benefit them. Encourage them to share your brand and offer to others. Some businesses offer 50% off, or the added value of a gift, or they create a package of the most raved about favorites. What can you create that will both make clients happy to buy and share what you're offering, and add dollars to your business? Use the past data and current client feedback to get started in creating a beautiful promo for this weekend.

  3. Send a personal note: Once you have your Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, or Cyber Monday promo, create personal methods to share it with your existing and past clients. Perhaps those are affiliates and ambassadors who have helped you grow your business, past clients you want to reconnect with, or some new ones that you have been meaning to follow up with recently. Personal is always more impactful. Once you have done your round of personal outreach, tackle social media and share with the intention to help others. Avoid being spammy. Give loving words and sentiments in your beautiful and purposeful promo of the week.
