3 Reasons Why it’s Important to Learn through Online Classes
I travel quite a bit with FemCity and while visiting our busiest communities, the topic of the FemCity classroom always comes up in conversations. Why did we add online classes for members? It started years ago with a partnership with Google and then with Yelp. They helped our members learn about their platforms and leverage it for success for women-led businesses. Our members loved it and asked for more ongoing education, and ta-da, the FemCity Members classroom was created and continues to thrive each week with new classes and our monthly masterclass series.
Today I am sharing 3 reasons why it’s important to learn through online classes.
1. Information changes weekly : in a world of algorithms, SEO and constant upgrades, marketing and branding best practices change regularly. When we know about ways to do it better, it helps our productivity and efficiency. If we can save time and achieve more success, it helps our business and life grow and prosper. Keeping up with the latest and greatest gives us leverage to promote our business in a better way. I recommend “How to Use Honeybook" with Shannon Hinderberger" and “How to Use Linktr.ee” as two classes to teach you about two platforms that will help you manage your marketing and time efforts.
2. Learn from experts : Information changes so fast and it’s hard to keep up. Taking online classes taught by experts gives us the information of what we need to know in little bite sizes while defining each step so it’s easier to understand and grasp. I recommend “How to Increase Your Sales” with Christy Lawrence and “How to Scale a Business” with Laura Meyer.
3. Inspires Creativity : While learning from others, it opens up our creative vibes to see how we can take new knowledge and make it work in our favor. Each time I take an online class, I always leave inspired to create a new way to help me serve others more.
