We loved getting to know Elyssa Bloom, President of our FemCity Fort Myers community.
Tell us what inspired you to start your business?
Honestly... I wanted a job that fit the lifestyle I dreamed of. I wanted to be a present mom and a business owner. My entire adult life I loved writing and content creation (it has evolved tremendouly over the years) so I created my own business. It's not always rainbows and butterflies but it's exactly what I wanted!
What is the best bit of business advice you received?
The set back is the set up and You can't afford to NOT invest in your business!
Tell us about a moment you felt like giving up but moved forward and found growth and blessings?
The week Covid hit I lost 5 clients in one week. I thought this was it..but once again, the set back was the set up! It turned out that people needed social media marketing more than ever during this time.
What inspires you to keep growing your business?
My clients! I simply love seeing them bloom and how much my team and I are helping them! Also, my family. Being able to show up for my kids sports, field trips, and take family vacations is everything!
Final advice for other women running businesses?
Nothing bad happens when women make money :)
